Our first stop is the serene Meiji Shrine, an oasis of tranquility nestled within a sprawling 170-acre forest right in the heart of the bustling city. Crafted from exquisite cypress wood and copper, this significant shrine honors Emperor Meiji, Japan’s 122nd emperor, who presided over a transformative era of industrialization and global emergence for Japan.

Next, we'll immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the Asakusa district, home to the iconic Sensō-ji Temple. As Tokyo’s oldest temple, dedicated to Kannon, the revered Buddhist goddess of mercy, Sensō-ji offers a glimpse into the city's rich past. The approach to the temple leads us through Nakamise Shopping Street, a charming centuries-old promenade. Here, you'll discover a delightful array of shops offering traditional snacks and quintessential Japanese souvenirs, from elegant kimonos to local sake.

Our exploration continues as we spend time discovering the historical grounds of the Imperial Palace. We’ll have the opportunity to view the picturesque double bridges that serve as a symbolic gateway to the inner palace grounds. This present-day Imperial Palace, the cherished residence of Japan’s Imperial Family, is steeped in history, situated on the former site of Edo Castle and surrounded by impressive stone walls and a protective moat system.

8:30 AM, we depart Tokyo for the stunning Hakone National Park, we'll enjoy a memorable boat cruise on Lake Ashi, surrounded by nature and offering more magnificent views of Mount Fuji. Continuing to Lake Kawaguchiko, the Fuji Five Lakes' gem offering breathtaking Mount Fuji views. Our adventure takes us to Oishi Park for iconic Fuji vistas and then to the traditional Oshino Hakkai Village with its pristine ponds.

Mt. Fuji - Takayama

The journey today takes you to the historic gem of Takayama, celebrated for its remarkably preserved Edo-period streets. Your first stop is the formidable Matsumoto Castle, nicknamed "Crow Castle" for its dramatic black facade. Later, you'll be transported back in time as we explore Takayama's old town, cradled by the majestic Hida mountains. This area offers a truly charming and historical ambiance, showcased by its exquisite wooden architecture and the captivating Sannomachi Street, where you'll find charming residences, inviting eateries, and traditional sake breweries. A visit to Takayama Jin'ya, the former Tokugawa Shogunate government office from 1692 to 1871, offers further insight into the past. The day culminates in a stay at a traditional onsen hotel, serenely located within the spectacular Japanese Alps.

Takayama - Shirakawago - Kyoto

Your journey today takes you to the remarkable Shirakawa-go village, a UNESCO World Heritage jewel famed for its assembly of over 100 traditional ‘Gassho-style’ houses. These iconic structures, recognized by their sharply angled roofs resembling praying hands, some dating back hundreds of years, create an unforgettable vista against a backdrop of rolling, verdant mountains. Explore this unique village and admire the charmingly rustic thatched-roof homes, breathing in the peaceful ambiance of this extraordinary setting.

Later, we’ll make our way to Kyoto, a UNESCO World Heritage city where the afternoon is yours to discover. Take your time to explore Kyoto's countless attractions, from magnificent historic temples and exquisitely designed gardens to bustling streets alive with local culture.

Kyoto - Osaka

8:30 AM: Your tour guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby.

The first stop in Kyoto is Arashiyama Bamboo Grove for an enchanting walk through the towering bamboo forest. Aside from the bamboo grove, visitors can also explore other attractions in the Arashiyama district, including the Togetsukyo Bridge, which offers a picturesque view of the Katsura River and the surrounding mountains.

Afterwards,we continue to the World Heritage-list Golden Pavilion, also known as Kinkaku-ji. It is renowned for its stunning golden facade, covered in gold leaf and reflects beautifully in the pond in front of it the temple. The three-story pagoda- style structure was originally built in the 14th century as a retirement villa for a shogun and was later converted into a temple by his son.

Our last stop in Kyoto is Fushimi Inari Taisha, one of the most iconic sights in Japan with thousands of red Shinto shrine gates. The shrine is dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of rice, and is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates that form a winding path through the forested hills of Mount Inari. We strolled through the gates and visited the various shrines and temples. Then we will transfer to the hotel, overnight in Osaka.

Osaka - Kobe - Himeji - Hiroshima

At 8:30 AM, your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin your day. 

Our adventure today starts with a visit to the dynamic port city of Kobe. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore the scenic Kobe Harbor and capture a photo with the iconic BE-KOBE monument, a symbol of the city.

From Kobe, we'll journey to the magnificent Himeji Castle, often called the "White Heron Castle." This UNESCO World Heritage site is the largest surviving example of a traditional Japanese castle, boasting 83 impressive buildings. Its pristine white roof, said to resemble a heron taking flight – hence the name Shirasagi-jo – makes it the most visited castle in Japan, offering breathtaking views of Himeji city.

After exploring the grandeur of Himeji Castle, we will continue our journey to Hiroshima, where you will check in to your hotel for the evening.

Hiroshima - Miyajima & the Weight of History - Osaka

Savor your breakfast at the hotel before your guide greets you at 8:30 AM for a poignant day.

We'll begin with a ferry to the tranquil island of Miyajima, famed for its ancient temples and lush forests. Just offshore, the iconic "floating" torii gate marks the entrance to the historic Itsukushima Shrine, dating back to the 12th century. After a stroll along Omotesando Shopping Street for lunch, we'll return to Hiroshima.

In Hiroshima, we'll first visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, a skeletal reminder of the devastating 1945 bombing. This UNESCO World Heritage site stands as a powerful testament to the tragedy and a symbol of hope for peace. Following this, we'll enter the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, a deeply moving space dedicated to conveying the immense suffering caused by the atomic bombing and its lasting impact. The museum houses significant exhibits, including personal belongings of victims, photographs, and artifacts that vividly illustrate the scale of the destruction and the human cost of nuclear weapons. Reflect at the cenotaph, where the eternal flame serves as a solemn reminder of the city's enduring commitment to a world free of nuclear arms. Afterwards, we will take the Shinkansen back to Osaka.

Osaka Day Tour

At 8:30 AM, your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin your day. 

Our adventure today starts with a visit to the impressive Osaka Castle, a significant historical landmark. Next, we’ll visit the Kuromon Ichiba, one of Osaka’s prominent food markets. This expansive, covered market is known for its vendors offering street food, fresh produce, shellfish, and a variety of trinkets and souvenirs.

After a brief lunch break, the tour will continue to the Minami district, a vibrant area filled with

boutiques, designer stores, restaurants, and bars. You’ll also take a walking tour of the

Dōtonbori area, a major tourist attraction known for its lively atmosphere along the Dōtonbori canal. The area is famous for its bustling shopping scene, street food, bars, and entertainment, with streets illuminated by colorful neon lights and iconic mechanized signs, including the renowned Glico Man and Kani Doraku crab signs. After checking back into your hotel, you’ll have the rest of the evening free to enjoy at your leisure.

How do I make a reservation and how do I pay?

To reserve your tour, please contact Nicetrip Travels or submit a booking request through our website. Your booking is only confirmed after we receive the required deposit and issue an official confirmation.

Nicetrip Travels offers a 3-step payment plan:

  • Deposit: USD 300 per person.
  • Second payment: Up to 70% of the total tour price.
  • Final payment: The remaining balance, due 90 days before departure

We currently accept credit card payments, PayPal transfer and international bank transfer.

 

Are international flights included in the tour price?

Yes. Most Nicetrip Travels package tours include round-trip international airfare from major airports across the United States.

Please note that flight availability and fares may change depending on airline seat availability, fuel costs, route changes or other operating conditions. Once flight tickets are issued, they are usually non-refundable and any changes must follow the airline’s rules and applicable fees.

 

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Nicetrip Travels offers a 7-day cooling-off period. If you change your mind within 7 days from your initial booking, your first deposit can be fully refunded.

After this period, our standard cancellation policy applies:

  • 120+ days before departure: Full deposit refund, excluding any non-refundable third-party fees
  • 119–60 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee
  • 59–30 days before departure: 70% cancellation fee
  • Within 29 days before departure: 100% cancellation fee, no refund.

Approved refunds are usually processed within 30 days after the cancellation request is officially confirmed.

 

What should I know before joining the tour?

Our sightseeing itineraries are designed for travelers with an average level of fitness. Guests should be able to walk at least 2 km per day, move on uneven surfaces and climb stairs without personal assistance.

Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months from your planned return date. If you hold a U.S. passport, tourist travel to Japan is currently visa-free for stays under 90 days.

For a smoother trip, guests are also expected to respect local customs, including being punctual, keeping quiet on public transportation, following smoking rules and understanding that tipping is not customary in Japan.

We'll begin with a ferry to the tranquil island of Miyajima, famed for its ancient temples and lush forests. Just offshore, the iconic "floating" torii gate marks the entrance to the historic Itsukushima Shrine, dating back to the 12th century. After a stroll along Omotesando Shopping Street for lunch, we'll return to Hiroshima.

In Hiroshima, we'll first visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, a skeletal reminder of the devastating 1945 bombing. This UNESCO World Heritage site stands as a powerful testament to the tragedy and a symbol of hope for peace. Following this, we'll enter the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, a deeply moving space dedicated to conveying the immense suffering caused by the atomic bombing and its lasting impact. The museum houses significant exhibits, including personal belongings of victims, photographs, and artifacts that vividly illustrate the scale of the destruction and the human cost of nuclear weapons. Reflect at the cenotaph, where the eternal flame serves as a solemn reminder of the city's enduring commitment to a world free of nuclear arms. Afterwards, we will take the Shinkansen back to Osaka.

At 8:30 AM, your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin your day. 

Our adventure today starts with a visit to the impressive Osaka Castle, a significant historical landmark. Next, we’ll visit the Kuromon Ichiba, one of Osaka’s prominent food markets. This expansive, covered market is known for its vendors offering street food, fresh produce, shellfish, and a variety of trinkets and souvenirs.

After a brief lunch break, the tour will continue to the Minami district, a vibrant area filled with

boutiques, designer stores, restaurants, and bars. You’ll also take a walking tour of the

Dōtonbori area, a major tourist attraction known for its lively atmosphere along the Dōtonbori canal. The area is famous for its bustling shopping scene, street food, bars, and entertainment, with streets illuminated by colorful neon lights and iconic mechanized signs, including the renowned Glico Man and Kani Doraku crab signs. After checking back into your hotel, you’ll have the rest of the evening free to enjoy at your leisure.
